Dubbed as "the most romantic spot in India" by British administrator James Tod, Udaipur is a popular tourist destination and is known for its history, culture, scenic locations and the Rajput-era palaces. It is popularly known as the "City of Lakes" because of its enthralling lake system thanks to five of the major lakes, namely Fateh Sagar Lake, Lake Pichola, Swaroop Sagar Lake, Rangsagar and Doodh Talai Lake.

Besides lakes, Udaipur was also the capital of the erstwhile Mewar kingdom and has close vicinity to the fort of Kumbhalgarh and Chittor and the temple of Ranakpur, Shrinathji at Nathdwara and Eklingji.

Kumbhalgarh fort ("Kumbhal fort") is a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, in the Rajsamand district near Udaipur of Rajasthan state in western India. It was built during the course of the 15th century by Rana Kumbha. Kumbhalgarh is also the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, the great king and warrior of Mewar. With a wall over 80 km long, the fort is among the largest wall complex in the world, and the second largest fort in Rajasthan after Chittor Fort.

Kumbhalgarh Cultural Festival is a perfect platform for India's finest traditional artist, craftsmen and eminent artists to give their best exhibitions. A few diversions like a game of seat juggling and pull of war are additionally sorted out for youthful youngsters. Kumbhalgarh celebration has mostly two sections, one in the day time and other at night. In the daytime, there are many socio-cultural activities happening in the entire fort area whereas the Night in Kumbhalgarh is great with the blast of sound, light, shading and lip smacking food.

Itinerary

Day 00 - Mumbai to Udaipur

Meet your Trikon buddy at Bandra Terminus at 22.30 Hrs to board BDTS UDZ AII (22901) Express. Overnight train journey.

Day 01 - Udaipur

Arrive at Udaipur by 15.00 Hrs and proceed for sightseeing right away.

Explore the evening view of the majestic Pichola Lake, Fatehsagar Lake and Jagdish Temple.

Lake Pichola: situated in Udaipur city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is an artificial freshwater lake, created in the year 1362 AD, named after the nearby Picholi village. Later, Maharana Udai Singh, impressed by the charm of this lake with the backdrop of green hills, founded the city of Udaipur on the banks of the lake

Fatehsagar Lake: It is an artificial lake named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar, constructed north-west of Udaipur, to the north of Lake Pichola in the 1680s.

Jagdish Temple: The Jagdish Temple is raised on a tall terrace and was completed in 1651. It attaches a double-storey Mandapa (hall) to a double-storey sandhara (with a covered ambulatory) sanctum. The mandapa has another storey tucked within its pyramidal samavana (bellroof) while the hollow clustered spire over the sanctum contains two more, nonfunctional stories. To reach the main shrine, one must climb 32 marble steps, intercepted by a Brass image of Garuda in the end, being the mount (vahana) of God Vishnu.

Post sightseeing, check-in to the hotel and have dinner.

Rest Overnight.

 

Day 02 – Udaipur Full Day sightseeing

Morning breakfast, Full day Udaipur Sightseeing. 

Cover the places in Udaipur like the City Palace, Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace), Shilpgram, Gangaur Ghat, Ambrai Ghat, Saheliyon ki Bari as time permits.

Spend some time shopping the local handicrafts of Udaipur and indulge in authentic Rajasthani food as per our taste buds.

Post full day Dhamaal, Come back to hotel and rest for the day. 

Day 03 – Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur

Have early breakfast, check out and proceed to Kumbhalgarh

Kumbhalgarh Fort: Built on a hilltop 1,100 m (3,600 ft) above sea level on the Aravali range, the fort of Kumbhalgarh has perimeter walls that extend 36 km (22 mi), making it one of the longest walls in the world. The frontal walls are fifteen feet thick. Kumbhalgarh has seven fortified gateways. There are over 360 temples within the fort, 300 ancient Jain and the rest Hindu. From the palace top, it is possible to see kilometers into the Aravali Range. The sand dunes of the Thar Desert can be seen from the fort walls.

Post Lunch proceed to Ranakpur Jain Temple. 

Ranakpur Jain temple is a renowned Jain temple at Ranakpur is dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha. Light colored marble has been used for the construction of this grand temple which occupies an area of approximately 60 x 62 meters. The temple, with its distinctive domes, shikhara, turrets and cupolas rises majestically from the slope of a hill. Over 1444 marble pillars, carved in exquisite detail, support the temple. The pillars are all differently carved and no two pillars are the same. It is also said that it is impossible to count the pillars.

After fun filled day, Have dinner and Proceed to Falna Station to catch the train.

 

Day 04 – Back to Mumbai

Reach Mumbai @ 13.30 Hrs with lots of memories of the trip and promises to meet again.

Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Anybody found consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
