Stargazing & Camping at Naneghat

NaneGhat is situated at about 55 km from Kalyan. It offers different beauty in different seasons. In summer and winter, when there are no clouds, views of Jivdhan and Dhakoba are awesome. It can easily be reached by motorable road from Junnar.

Naneghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range near Junnar in Pune district of Maharashtra, India. During the reign of the Satavahana (200 BCE–190 CE), the pass was extensively used as a trade route between Kalyan and Junnar.

Literally, the name nane means "coin" and ghat means "pass".

The name is given because this path was used as a tollbooth to collect toll from traders crossing the hills. The location is ideal for Star gazing and Star photography.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Saturday

11:00 am : Meet the Trikon Team at Kotak Mahindra Bank ATM, near Dadar (E) station. To ensure a comfortable journey, we will be travelling by AC bus. Yay !!!

11:30 am : Pick-up from Thane Teeth Haath Naka

Let's beat summer heat start our journey with a Private A/C vehicle . Let's rock our mornings with songs, conversations and break the ice from being strangers to Travelers sharing same passion. En-route Lunch at nearby dhaba and commence our journey towards our destination : Naneghat

As bus reaches directly at the Camp-site, there it is....Get disconnected from the outer chaotic mechanical world and connect with Life! Ever build your own house, what more than cosy warm Tented Houses.Feel free to join hands in Tent Pitching. Meanwhile it will be time for the most beautiful nature colour you could ever see with naked eyes! Sunset .

Slowly when starry night begins to darken the sky with pitch black canvas,Stars form the Sparkling silver blanket. We set our gears and accessories for Stargazing and photography!

Indulge into Breakfast with warm hospitality of villagers :) After breakfast let's be game for some team activities, maybe childhood games for starters and above all , HAVE FUN!!

Lunch at Local Dhaba En-route.

Time to get back to our usual life.....However with whole lot of unforgettable memories to cherish till next and promise to create more with Trikon!
