"So close, yet so far" is what comes to mind when you speak of this trek. Not very far away from the popular treks near Mumbai and Pune, this mountain has managed to keep its secret hidden.

A beautiful monsoon trek that offers a walk across lush green rice fields, before beginning to rise up the mountains along a well marked trail. The trail initially rises up steeply, continuously ascending up to a small village that comes en route. Enjoy some hot tea here, before moving further.

As we move ahead, you walk along a ridge line, a rare sight in the treks here, let alone in an easy trek!

Finally comes the best part - the plateau! A huge flat table land at the top with magnificent views of the expressway on one side, lakes on the other and with mountains all around. Also, beware! - this place will be crazily windy!

So let's meet up for this hidden gem - a trek with no crowd and just nature..

Itinerary

Day 1:
04:40 am: Meet the Trikon Team at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali (E)
05:00 am: Leave for Dongarwadi, Pickups on the way
05:20 am: Pickup Point, Andheri - Hanuman Road Bus Stop
05:40 am: Dadar East Kotak Mahindra Bank, Near Pritam Hotel
06:00 am: Pickup Point, K Star Mall, Chembur
06:15 am: Pickup Point, Vashi Below Flyover
06:30 am: Pickup Point, CBD Belapur, Below Flyover
06:40 am: Pickup Point, Hotel 3 Star, Kharghar
06:50 am Pickup Point, McDonald's, Kalamboli
08:15 am: Reach base village, enjoy breakfast and freshen up.
09:00 am: Trek starts from base village
10:45 am: Reach a village on the way, and enjoy some tea in the middle of rains and clouds
12:00 pm: Reach the top plateau. Eat some light snacks that you carried while you enjoy the views and the monsoon feels. If it isn't too risky and time permits, we will trek another 30 minutes up to a Devi Temple.
01:00 pm: Descend back to the base village.
03:00 pm: Reach base village, change and freshen up
03:30 pm: Have a filling lunch and begin your journey back to Mumbai
05:00 pm: Start return journey back to Mumbai
08:00 pm Tentatively Mumbai (Depends upon the traffic)

Note: No changing facilities will be available in the morning, hence board the bus in your trekking clothes itself
