Melghat Tiger Reserve is a stunning wildlife sanctuary located in the Amravati district of Maharashtra, India. Lonar is renowned for its unique Lonar Crater Lake, formed by a meteorite impact over 50,000 years ago. This saline soda lake, located in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra, is a significant geological and ecological site.
Visitors can explore the Gomukh Temple and Daitya Sudan Temple, both offering rich historical and architectural insights.The surrounding area, with its diverse flora and fauna, makes it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts and photographers.
Day 0:
Mumbai to Amravati train journey.
Board train (12105) at 7 PM from CSMT
Day 1:
Reach badnera railway station by 6 am and move towards Amravati
Fresh up at hotel,
Breakfast
Visit Amba devi and Ekveera devi temple in Amravati
Visit Sant Gadge maharaj smadhi sthal
Start journey towards Melghat - Muthva nisarga sankul for stay, lunch on the way
We will try to visit first Orphanage home established by social activist Padmashri Sindhutai sapkal in this region.
Reach stay place and rest for the day.
Dinner and interact with co-travellers share memories/experience.
Day 2:
Post breakfast we will try to meet great social activist Padmashri Dr. Ravindra Kolhe and Dr Smita kolhe who are working for Tribal people in Melghat region (subject to their availability ).
Visit Bambu kendra in this region where tribal people prepare various artistic things from Bamboo, you can also buy if you want.
Lunch
Move to Kolkas for Elephant jungle safari. Post safari move to Chikhldara for stay.
Day 3:
Today we will be covering local points in Chikhaldara like Gavilgad fort, Devi point, Bhim kund, Mojhari point, etc.
Post lunch we will visit one and only Ganapati museum in world at Motha.
Move to Shahanur for stay.
Day 4:
Early morning ready for the jungle safari. We will leave for jeep safari by 5.45 am. Post breakfast we will try to visit Narnala fort if time permits.
Post lunch we will start journey for lonar.
Try to take blessings from sant Gajanan maharaj at India's cleanest temple with much positive vibes on the way.
Dinner
Reach Lonar for stay.
Day 5:
Post breaksfast start exploring Lonar crater (salt water crater) and surrounding temples guided tour.
Visit crater and various temples surrounded by crater and understand history and geography in this region.
While return visit balaji temple in Mehkar which has record for the tallest balaji idol in India.
We will try to visit balapur fort if time permits.
Return to Shegaon dinner and board train at 9.25 PM (train 12106/12112) back to Mumbai.
Day 6:
