Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar. 

Welcome to Srinagar! Upon reaching Srinagar Airport (pickup around 1 PM), you will meet your Trikon Trip Leader, who will be there to guide you throughout the journey. If time allows, we will explore some popular places in Srinagar like the peaceful Dal Lake, the famous Shankaracharya Temple, and the beautiful Mughal Gardens. Later, relax with a calm Shikara ride on Dal Lake, a must-try experience in Srinagar. In the evening, unwind at your comfortable hotel or spend the night in a traditional houseboat, surrounded by the calm waters and chilly mountain breeze.

Day 2: Srinagar to Kargil.

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off on a breathtaking drive towards Kargil. Our first stop? Sonamarg, a paradise of lush meadows and snow-kissed peaks. As we continue, brace yourself for an adrenaline rush as we conquer the legendary Zojila Pass, one of the highest mountain passes, offering jaw-dropping panoramic views!
Next, we’ll halt at Drass Village, the second coldest inhabited place in the world. Here, we’ll pay tribute to the brave hearts at the Kargil War Memorial, a symbol of valor and sacrifice.
By evening, we’ll arrive in Kargil, where you can unwind and soak in the region’s rich history and stunning landscapes. 

Day 3: Kargil - Lamayuru- Leh​.

After a delicious breakfast, we hit the road towards Leh, passing through breathtaking landscapes and some of the region’s most iconic landmarks. Our first stop is the Lamayuru Monastery, an ancient marvel known for its striking architecture and tranquil ambiance. 

As we get closer to Leh, we’ll explore some incredible spots along the way:
🔸 Magnetic Hill, a gravity-defying wonder where vehicles seem to roll uphill on their own! 
🔸 Zanskar-Indus Confluence, where two rivers merge in a spectacular mix of colors. 
🔸 Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a sacred site with a fascinating spiritual legacy.
🔸 Hall of Fame, a museum honoring the heroic sacrifices of the Indian Army. 

If time permits, we’ll take a stroll through the vibrant Leh Market, perfect for picking up local handicrafts and souvenirs. Finally, we’ll end the day with a peaceful visit to the Shanti Stupa, where breathtaking sunset views over Leh await! Overnight stay in Leh, gearing up for the adventures ahead! 

Day 4: Leh to Nubra Valley. 

After a delicious breakfast, we kick off the day with a visit to the historic Leh Palace, which offers panoramic views of Leh city and the surrounding mountains. Next, we hit the road towards the majestic Khardung La Pass, standing tall at 18,380 ft, one of the highest motorable roads in the world!
As we descend from Khardung La, we enter the mesmerizing Nubra Valley, where lush green landscapes meet stark desert terrain. Our first stop is Diskit Village, home to the renowned Diskit Monastery, featuring a towering Buddha statue overlooking the valley.Later in the day, get ready for a thrilling camel safari across the cold desert dunes of Hunder, where you’ll see the rare double-humped Bactrian camels!
We wrap up the day with an overnight stay in the peaceful Nubra Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains and a breathtaking star-lit sky.

Day 5: Visit Turtuk Village.

After breakfast, we set out for Turtuk, India's northernmost village near the Indo-Pak border. This hidden gem in Ladakh boasts breathtaking landscapes, charming Balti culture, and picturesque stone houses nestled among lush apricot orchards. The warm hospitality of the locals and the stunning views make Turtuk a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Post exploration, we journey back to Nubra Valley, where you can relax and enjoy another peaceful camel safari amidst the mesmerizing Hunder sand dunes.
Wrap up the day with an overnight stay in Nubra Valley, soaking in the tranquility and beauty of this surreal destination.

Day 6: Nubra Valley to Pangong. 

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off to explore the magnificent Diskit Monastery, home to a towering Buddha statue that gazes over the breathtaking Nubra Valley. With its serene atmosphere and stunning panoramic views, this monastery is a true gem of Ladakh. Next, we’ll embark on a scenic drive via the Shayok Route, making our way to the mesmerizing Pangong Lake. Sitting at a staggering altitude of 13,900 ft, this pristine lake is famous for its ever-changing shades of blue, creating an almost surreal landscape.
As the sun sets, unwind by the tranquil lakeside and embrace the serenity of nature. With crystal-clear skies, Pangong becomes a paradise for stargazing, offering an unforgettable view of the Milky Way.
End the day with a peaceful overnight stay in cozy lakeside camps, surrounded by the raw beauty of Ladakh.

Day 7: Pangong to Leh.

Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise by Pangong Lake, where the golden hues dance on the crystal-clear waters—an unforgettable sight! After a delicious breakfast, we’ll begin our journey back to Leh.
En route, we’ll stop at the Hemis Monastery, a tranquil retreat steeped in history and spirituality. Next, we’ll explore the Shey Palace, once home to the royal family of Ladakh. Before reaching Leh, we’ll visit the iconic Rancho School, made famous by the movie 3 Idiots.
By evening, we’ll reach Leh, where you can relax at the hotel and recharge for the adventures ahead! 

Day 8: Departure From Leh.

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the breathtaking landscapes of Ladakh. By noon, we’ll make our way to Leh Airport, taking along cherished memories of towering peaks, tranquil lakes, and the warm hospitality of the locals.

As you board your flight, take a moment to relive the adventure – from wandering through ancient monasteries to gazing at the starry skies by Pangong Lake. Until we meet again, Ladakh! ❤️

Please Note:
We almost never cancel our events. But in case we cancel an event because of natural calamities (snowstorms, thunderstorms, floods, landslides, earthquakes) or unexpected political unrest, curfews, local riots, government orders, unexpected global health issues, Trikon will issue a voucher for the full amount of your event fee. You can redeem the Event Voucher on any of our events over the next one year.
