Introduction
Badami – This famous city, founded in 540 A.D by Pulakesi, was the capital of Early Chalukyas, who ruled over many parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh between 6th – 8th centuries. Badami boasts of several cave temples, which were constructed by Pulakesi’s sons and brother between 598 – 610 A.D.
Pattadakal – A tour to this small village, which lies on the banks of River Mallaprabha, Bagalkot District of North Karnataka will leave you spell-bounded! This village, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has a complex of Jain and Hindu temples. The temples display both Dravidian and Nagara styles of temple architecture and has innumerable Hindu CE monuments that reflect vesara style of Hindu temple architecture.
Aihole – This city in Karnataka is famous for temples. Yes, Aihole, which lies on the banks of River Mallaprabha has hundreds of temples. It was also the first capital of Chalukyas.
Hampi – A visit to Hampi will offer you an insight into Karnataka’s rich heritage. Hampi was the capital of Vijayanagar dynasty in 14th century. The ruins of the city spread over 26km2 houses millions of boulders, an oasis, and lush green foliage. It is said that before the fall of Vijaynagar Empire, diamonds and precious stones were sold on the pavements. However, the interesting part is that the street where precious items were sold was referred to as the Pan Supaari Street. You can spot this place easily as ASI has marked a board stating the name of the street.
Itagi – Itagi, located about 35 kms east of Gadag and 64 kms west of Hampi is another site that displays the richness and magnificence of Chalukya dynasty. The Mahadeva Temple, which was built by Mahadeva, a commander in King Vikramaditya’s army is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple architecture has finely crafted sculptures and intricately designed carvings in pillars, walls and the tower.

Board 17318 LTT Hubali Express. Departure CSMT 18:45, 19:08 Thane, 19:42 Panvel, 23:05 Pune.
Day 1 : Saturday, 7th March 2020
Arrival Belagawi 07:48. Board bus and proceed to Badami, capital of Chalukyas.
Reach and explore Badami. Sightseeing attractions include caves, lake, museum and fort. We will take guided visit to caves. Visit to the other attractions is subject to availability of time. Overnight at Badami.
Day 2 : Sunday, 8th March 2020
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and move towards Hospet. On the way we visit archaeological sites of Pattadakal, Aihole and Itagi.
Overnight at Hospet.
Day 3 : Monday, 9th March 2020
Full day exploration of Hampi. Overnight at Hospet.
Day 4 : Tuesday, 10th March 2020
Explore Hampi in the morning and move towards Hubali for return journey to Mumbai.

Day 5 : Wednesday, 11th March 2020
Reach Pune 03:00 am, Panvel 05:47 am, Thane 06:33 am, LTT 07:15 am, Trip Concludes
